Pipl just launched a new version of our search engine for business users today that covers over 3 billion people worldwide and man are we proud!

This new, professional version of our popular people search engine comes with the same easy-to-use interface as the free search engine but includes some important, expanded capabilities so it’s easier for your business to find information about a person.

Officially starting today, business users who use the new professional version of the search engine will get:

• Unlimited searches using name, email address, username or phone number.
• Over a billion phone numbers – mostly mobile – in search results.
• The most information about a person based on an email address search.
• Improved hit rates due to an additional 4.5 billion premium records.

Why we built a more powerful search engine

Over the past few years we’ve seen that fraud and risk prevention employees at some of the largest corporations were using our basic search engine for consumers. This included 28 of the top 50 U.S. retailers, 9 out of top 10 U.S. banks, 8 of the top 10 U.S. insurance companies and many major airlines. In other words, they like us. They really, really like us.

It got to the point that some of these business users were using the basic search engine so heavily they were getting blocked for engaging for what appeared to be bot-like behavior. Talk about don’t stop ‘til you get enough!
