At Pipl we aren’t satisfied with having the most information about people currently available on the market. That’s why we’re proud to announce that the newest release of our search index has pushed our coverage to over 3 billion people worldwide!
Some other important achievements attained with our latest index release include:
- We now have 1+ billion mobile phone numbers in our index.
- Mobile numbers are now clearly marked as “type: mobile” and are available via our People Data API’s for those with Business or Business Premium plans.
- Over 85% of people in our index have their job information updated within the last six months.
- 60+ million new social profile records have been added.
What does this mean for Pipl product users?
Users of all Pipl products, the People Data API, FILES and the search engine, will benefit from the new release. The best part is that you don’t have to change a single thing, whichever product you’re using. The new index is already live, resulting in improved identity resolution and better data coverage.
Power users should begin noticing improved results in terms of:
- Higher match rates
- More information in search results across different fields (phone numbers, usernames, etc.)
API users seeking to get the most lift in results from the new search index, should make sure they are on the Business Premium plan for the People Data API v5. If you’re still on an older version of the API or if you’re on a lower v5 plan, talk to our Customer Success team about upgrading to take full advantage of the improved search index.
FILES and the search engine are non-developer products built to one, standard specification. All users of these products receive the same results.
