Pipl is proud to announce that we’ve been named 2020’s best small company to work for in the Inland Northwest. The region’s other culture-savvy outfits held us to a #4 ranking in 2019, giving us an appreciation for the strength of the competition and making this year’s list-topping ranking that much more of an honor.
Best Places to Work INW is a yearly, survey-based competition that recognizes companies whose employees love coming to work every day. The first segment to the two-part survey, worth 25% of the total evaluation, evaluates participating companies’ workplace policies, practices, and demographics, while the second segment is designed to measure the employee experience.
According to the judges, there are many reasons why our people love being a part of Pipl. A fun work environment was a frequently cited plus: In our Post Falls office, dogs are welcome, and frequent games and competitions played across our US and Israeli locations build camaraderie. The office is outfitted with stress relievers like massage chairs, a basketball court, and VR headset games. For employees with a different notion of comfort, a stocked ice cream freezer stands at the ready.
Taking further aim at our employees’ hearts by way of their stomachs, catered lunches are hosted every day, and a weekly shopping run ensures that any requested snacks are readily available.
While “these uncertain times” are finding employees working from home and unable to enjoy the perks provided at the office, a number of other factors contribute to high employee satisfaction.
The company’s dedication to recognizing employee efforts received high marks. Employee success is spotlighted in the #piplproud program, where accolades are that much sweeter because their delivery is informed by a thorough knowledge of the recipient’s personality. At our bi-weekly all-hands meetings, shout-outs to coworkers are encouraged. It’s also not uncommon for an employee to receive a gift for going above and beyond for the success of the company.
Of course, as anyone in the Pipl family knows, the company can pride itself in the competitiveness of its compensation and the quality of its benefits.
