The Brazilian General Data Protection Law, also referred to as “LGPD” in Brazilian Portuguese
(Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais), is a Federal Law in force in Brazil as of September
2020 and has the goal of comprehensively regulating data protection matters in the country.
